What's the best way to safely handle and display my new glass art?
Remember these are glass and very fragile. Always handle your art with care, using both hands if possible. When displaying, ensure it's on a stable surface where it won't be easily knocked over or in an area with minimal vibrations. If one does break, collect all the pieces and bring them in; we can try to bring it back to life for a minimal firing fee at our Lower Burrell, Pa USA location.
How should i clean my glass art to keep it looking its best without damaging it?
To clean your glass art, always take it off the wall and hold it gently while you spray windex onto a soft, lint-free towel. Then, carefully wipe the glass. Treat it like you would treat any super fragile glass item – with gentle movements and attention to detail. Avoid spraying cleaning solution directly onto the art piece.
Are there any specific things i should definitely not do with my glass art to prevent issues?
Yes, there are a few crucial things to avoid. Do not drop your glass art under any circumstances, as it is extremely fragile. Also, do not put hot items on them, as extreme temperature changes can cause thermal shock and crack the glass. Keep your art away from direct heat sources and areas with drastic temperature fluctuations.
